Criteria:
- Grade 12 student
- 85% average or higher, based on semester 1 final marks and semester 2 interim marks
- Academic excellence
- Leadership
- Contributes to school
- Contributes to community
- Very good relationship with staff
- Be able to undergo a personal interview with a panel of 5 to 7 people
To apply: Submit a typed comprehensive resume of your academic achievements as well as a 500-word essay outlining your school
involvement, and community involvement. In your essay, be sure to refer
to how you have demonstrated leadership, as well as, the relationships with
school staff you have developed over your academic career. Include a transcript of your grade 9 to 12 marks.
Process:
A panel will choose the students who are to be
interviewed. (Mrs. Pretula will meet with the chosen interviewees to let
them know what to expect and how to prepare for the interview.)
The school winner will move on to the School Board
Gold and Silver Medal Award final interview on Wednesday, May 31 2017.
Deadline for resume, essay and
transcript submission to Mrs. Pretula is Friday, May 5, 2017.
