National Union Scholarships – Must be the
child/grandchild or foster child/grandchild of a National Union Member (working
or retired), entering a public post-secondary institution for full-time studies
in September 2017. Qualifying unions - MGEU, BCGEU, HSAA, SGEU,
OPSEU, NBU, NSGEU, PEIUPSE, NAPE. Requires an application and a 750-1000
word essay. Deadline July 7, 2017.
There are 5 different scholarships (for students who
are: visible minorities, aboriginal, have a disability, are entering a
criminal justice or health care field or anyone who would like to write their
essay about Tommy Douglas and his contribution to making Canada a more just and
